Vampire Diaries starlet Nina Dobrev graces the April 2010 cover of Seventeen magazine, on stands March 9. Here’s what the 21-year-old actress shared:
On what it’s like hanging out with co-stars Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder: “They’re both really great in different kinds of ways. Paul definitely takes his job very seriously He’s very professional. Ian’s the prankster, the jokester. He makes light of every moment, and he’s very exciting and cool. He has the best stories, because he has just experienced so much, and he’s been on so many cool sets and movies. I’m so lucky that they’re great people and we love each other’s company.”
On if she has any rules when it comes to dating a costar: “I think it could definitely get sticky if you dated your costar. To be completely honest, dating an actor is very complicated. There’s a lot of vanity involved. And they’re in their head, and they’re kind of crazy. And you’re always surrounded by beautiful people. I would prefer not to date an actor.”

Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev says she would date a vampire & more. Nina Dobrev who plays Elena Gilbert in CW’s new hit show, “Vampire Diaries” recently sat down with the CW,and talked about leaving Canada to film the show,and also revealed that she would actually date a vampire in real life (clip below).
Nina started off her interview by talking about how she left the show, “Degrassi” in Canada to move to Atlanta,GA to film “Vampire Diaries.” She said the show is great,,and that’s she’s really excited about it. Next, she said she does miss her friends from the Degrassi show. However,she does still keep in touch with them often,and she has a lot of new friends from the “Vampire Diaries” show. She “gets the best of both worlds.”
She said she couldn’t reveal if Elena will ever become a vampire because she doesn’t know,and that we’ll just have to stay tuned for that. She revealed that her favorite super powers would be to fly and become invisible.
To conclude, she says she would date a vampire in real life. She would give it a try and see if he pushes her buttons the right way.

Nina Dobrev Reveals Startling Upcoming 'Vampire Diaries' Plot Twist

As we all know on "Vampire Diaries," Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has always had his eye on Elena (Nina Dobrev). He's even teased his brother — and Elena's boyfriend — Stefan (Paul Wesley), that he thinks she's major eye candy. But, with Stefan and Elena finally going there (yes! They did it! You know ... the big IT!), it seemed these two are on track to staying together and making it work.
Uh, well, cut to the fall finale episode, when Elena finds a photo of her look-a-like and former Damon/Stefan paramour, Katherine, and then freaking out and subsequently almost dying in a car accident. Apparently, this car accident and the events following it will somehow lead to Elena spending a lot more time with a certain Salvatore brother: Damon (!!!). Yeah, we're confused too.
